Quick note!

I'm hoping to have more to announce soon (I did actually open my Etsy store, but I don't want to make a big deal announcement about it yet, as I haven't really stocked it and honestly would be a little horrified if anyone bought anything quite yet!), but in the meantime, here's a thing I built during one of the blizzards that has slammed my city into the ground.

That's a light box! It'll let me take super awesome photos of the things I make! I (/we) made it! Foamcore, tissue paper, white duct tape, a couple pieces of white paper as a backdrop. BeardBoy even finagled some velcro to attach a stabilizing piece across the back, because he's awesome like that.

And it folds flat, too!

Here's a before and after of how it does:

Check out the iPhone photos I plan to put on the internet to sell things with! I'm sure I'll get many more awesome photos when I break out my proper camera, but I'm amazed by how well my phone's camera did with these guys:

I'm super excited about the whole thing. :)

More posts coming soon! I've finished the file for the big laser-cutting project I've had in mind, so all I need to do is find the time to get to the laser place and actually make the cuts. And then there will be photos -- oh yes, there will be photos. And gloating. I am so looking forward to it.
