So, I will have a bunch to share (eventually) about Christmas giving, but either a) I haven't gotten pictures yet, or b) I can't spoil surprises, so instead, here's a Christmas present for someone who has zero chance of stumbling across this little corner of the internet.
BeardBoy's lovely brother-in-law has a growing collection of tattoos. Tattoos, as those of us who have them can attest, are super freaking expensive. So BeardBoy's present is a gift card (or, actually, money -- the shop doesn't do formal gift cards) to BIL's favorite tattoo shop. Along with some awesome temporary tattoos and other goodies.
Since I love both BeardBoy and his BIL, I volunteered to do the card for the money.
It's a tri-fold -- she's the cover. I kind of love that this is coming from BeardBoy; he has a running joke with his sister about how pretty BIL is. A flirty "Hello, Sailor" is perfect.
The second flap:
Just a little swallow -- although I believe BIL has an almost identical one. Except, you know, with shading and color and shit. You know.
The inside:
We're going to cut little tabs for the money to sit in in that blank space there.
Just a tiny little thing, but it felt good to be drawing! And drawing on nice paper with my beautiful prismacolor brush-tip ... ::sigh:: Heaven!
More forthcoming when I can snap some photos of BeardBoy's present (woo knitting!) and other projects. Happy holidays, everyone!
