Quick little update

So, I will have a bunch to share (eventually) about Christmas giving, but either a) I haven't gotten pictures yet, or b) I can't spoil surprises, so instead, here's a Christmas present for someone who has zero chance of stumbling across this little corner of the internet.

Ever since I saw Tangled, I've had the idea of parsnip and hazelnut soup percolating in the back of my mind. This weekend, I finally made it a reality!

Flame Princess Dress Project: Part I

This is a little update, but I want to share anyway.

So, this dress was a Goodwill score. $7 for what I assumed was just going to be a crap-ton of fabric -- this baby has box pleats in the back, so it's about 3 dresses' worth of fabric. Thing was, I got it home, held it up, and thought, "Huh, that looks like it might actually fit!" and ... well, sorta.

Flame Princess Wig Part III, and new endeavors

It's been a busy weekend! I had a wonderful time -- visited with a dear friend who was in from out of town, heard great music at an outdoor music festival, AND got to hole up and make things. Every weekend should be three days long.
